Weeki Wachee Springs - For a host of activities for the whole family. This area of Florida is to the North of Tampa and Clearwater in the Spring Hill area. It will take a couple of hours to get there but it provides a wealth of fun and sights.

There is no tank or aquarium. The theater is built into the spring itself and the mermaids perform in this natural and pristine spring while visitors enjoy the show 16-feet below the surface of the water!

The mermaids perform with Florida's wildlife as a variety of fish, turtles, manatees and an occasional alligator frequent the spring and the show!

The Funny Farm's Feathered Friends! Weeki Wachee's newest animal show! Enjoy a colorful display of playful parrots as they demonstrate their notable intelligence and incredible athletic ability!

Buccaneer Bay Water Park. Come and enjoy the "Fun in the Sun" at Buccaneer Bay Water park! The only spring fed water park in the state of Florida where visitors enjoy the constant 72 degree, 99% pure spring water! Soak in the sun as you relax on the white sandy beach while the kids zoom down Pirates Plunge water flume. Lil' Mates Caribbean Cove provides the youngsters with a fun and safe water play area.

The lovely Pine Island Beach (right) is also well worth a visit. The beach itself is child friendly and has superb white sands and pine trees leading down to the clear blue and warm sea.
